About MeDawn Lindsay is recognized as one of Alaska’s leading violinists, enjoying a diverse career that includes orchestral, chamber, broadway, and Baroque music.
Dawn began her musical training at age five as a Suzuki violinist. She studied at Indiana University in Bloomington with Mimi Zweig, Rostislav Dubinsky, and Tadeusz Wronski, and holds a degree in Violin Performance from the University of North Texas. She has performed Baroque violin with Anchorage Festival of Music and Alaska Chamber Singer concert series and studied Baroque violin at Queens College and Vancouver Early Music summer programs. Ms. Lindsay recently joined the faculty of University of Alaska, Anchorage as a violin instructor. She is also is the concertmaster of Anchorage Opera Orchestra and a member of the Anchorage Symphony. Outside of Anchorage, she performs with the Juneau Symphony and is a guest artist with the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival. A champion of music education, Dawn enjoys teaching a diverse studio of violinists ages 3 to 83. |
